Indian Stock Market started on a low note today. Sensex is live at 28579 with 55 points down while Nifty is down 0.21 percent or 18 points at 8789. Currently Rupee is trading 6 paise down against US Dollar. Midcap sectors are trading slightly up with minor gains. BSE Smallcap is 12 points up at 12843 and BSE Midcap is 29 points up at 13161.
In commodity segment Gold is trading 70 points up at 30973 and Silver is trading 171 points up at 46212. Crude Oil has dropped 20 points to 2940.
Global indices are trading in the negative zone with minor losses. Nikkei has dropped 33 points to 16485, Hang Seng declined 41 points to 23509 and Shanghai Composite dropped 2 points to 3024.
