Indian Stock Market edged lower yesterday on Friday and posted a small weekly loss. Sensex closed on 27126 with 74 points or 0.27 percent drop while Nifty fell 14 points or 0.18 percent to 8323 points. Rupee closed with a strength of 3 paise at 67.36 against Dollar. Maximum sectors traded in the negative zone on last trading session of the week. Capital Goods Sector with highest loss of 151 points closed at 15157, Oil and Gas sector with loss of 98 points ended at 9956. Asian Market Indices traded down to negative with average losses. Nikkei dropped 169 points to 15106, Hang Seng slided 142 points to 20564 points and Shanghai Composite reached 2989 while dropping 27 points.
In Commodity Market, MCX Gold declined 162 points to 31,719 while Silver stepped up 594 points to 47,487. Natural Gas with minor increment of 1.10 closed at 188.30 and Crude Oil with minor loss of 4 points ended at 3,059.
